Entangled
2025 - 2026
240 × 100 × 100 cm
Found wood, paper, rattan, 3 * E27 bulb fittings, UL certified electrical components.
Entangled marks a turning point in Cédric Ceulemans’ artistic practice. Begun during a period of uncertainty, the sculpture evolved alongside a growing confidence to create on a larger scale. What started as an exploration gradually became a statement of trust in both the material and the creative process.
Built from found wood and shaped through an intuitive dialogue with light and natural forms, Entangled challenged the artist technically and artistically. Its flowing structure reflects the delicate balance between tension and harmony, strength and vulnerability.
Presented during Milan Design Week 2026 as part of The Shape of Belonging, the work resonated deeply with visitors, who were drawn to its quiet presence and organic movement. Today, it stands as one of the defining sculptures in Cédric’s evolving body of work.
The sculpture includes a custom-built transport crate, allowing it to travel safely for international exhibitions and collections.
2025
80 × 80 × 80 cm
Found wood, paper, rattan, 2 * E27 bulb fittings, UL certified electrical components.
Nest is the first suspended sculpture in Cédric Ceulemans’ collection of original works and marks the beginning of his exploration of light as a sculptural medium.
Rather than following a predetermined design, the sculpture grew organically over several months. Each new element responded to the one before it, gradually finding its own balance through an intuitive process of addition and refinement. Like a bird patiently gathering branches, the work was built piece by piece until its final form could no longer have been imagined from the beginning.
Its airy structure evokes a nest, a drifting cloud, or the movement of wind suspended in space. The title reflects not only its appearance, but also the way it came into being: a sculpture assembled through patience, intuition, and trust in the process.
The Nest became the centerpiece of Cédric’s first solo exhibition, The Shape of Light, and marked the beginning of a new chapter in his artistic practice. Created while envisioning a future studio that would eventually become reality, the work carries the optimism and quiet determination of that period. Today, it stands as the sculpture that bridged an early stage of experimentation with the larger, more ambitious works that followed.
The sculpture is currently on exhibition in Hilversum and remains available for acquisition.

Waves
2026
80 × 60 × 60 cm
Created during her internship with Cédric Ceulemans, Waves was crafted by Estelle Champs-Morin as an exploration of movement, balance, and light. Guided by the studio’s intuitive approach, she developed a sculpture that follows the natural rhythm and character of the wood.
Its flowing form recalls the hollow curl of a breaking wave, capturing the energy and tension of the ocean in a suspended sculptural form.
Waves is suspended from two cable points, illuminated by two light sources, and is currently exhibited in the studio. The work is available for acquisition.
